Adopting a cat is a very important matter, and I hope adopters will think about it before adopting.
It is advisable to assess before adopting a cat
- If a cat is adopted, the living environment of the family and friends living with the cat may be affected to varying degrees.
- If you are renting an apartment, will the landlord agree to keep a cat?
- Can you afford to provide a comfortable and secure life for your cat?
- Is the size of the home and living environment suitable for the cat?
- Is it physically possible for me or my family to keep a cat? Are you allergic to cat hair?
- If your cat barks or scratches the furniture, are you willing to identify the root of the problem and patiently teach your cat in an appropriate way?
- What will happen to the cat if I have to go away for a long time? Is there someone who can help take care of the cat?
- Will the new family members be accepted by the existing furry children in the home? Will the cat be able to adapt?
- Will you be able to take care of your cat until the end of its life if there are major changes such as a breakup, pregnancy, moving, or the death of a loved one?
