Note that the following things can not be given to dogs and cats to eat
Onion and garlic
These ingredients can irritate the gastrointestinal tract of dogs and cats, cause discomfort, and even break red blood cells, leading to vomiting and diarrhea, anemia, and fever. These ingredients are added to many human foods, so parents should be careful when feeding them!
Green Tomatoes and Potatoes
Tomatoes and potatoes are both members of the Solanaceae family, which generally contain toxic alkaloids. Immature or sprouted potatoes contain large amounts of toxic alkaloids, which can poison not only dogs and cats, but also parents who eat them!
Grapes and raisins
Grapes can impair the kidney function of dogs and cats, and a little bit of them can cause mental disturbances and tremors.
Citrus
Dogs can eat small amounts, but cats should avoid them! Citrus fruits contain D-citric acid and citrus essential oil, which can cause allergic and toxic reactions in dogs and cats!
Chocolate
The theobromine in chocolate is toxic to dogs and cats, and the higher the purity of the chocolate, the more theobromine it contains, and the more dangerous it is to dogs and cats! If a dog or cat accidentally consumes chocolate, they may suffer from vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, heart palpitations, shock or even death.
Caffeine
Any diet containing caffeine, including tea, soda, etc., can cause poisoning in cats and dogs! Caffeine itself is a stimulant that interferes with and damages the nervous system of dogs and cats, and may cause tremors, vomiting or diarrhea in dogs and cats.
Alcohol
Alcohol is very dangerous for dogs and cats! Even food or drinks containing only a small amount of alcohol can cause malfunction of body coordination, vomiting, diarrhea or tremors, and even damage to the central nervous system, and in severe cases, death from respiratory failure.
Parents should not joke about the safety of their little monsters!
Milk for Human Use
Many pets lack the enzyme “lactase” to help break down lactose. When too much lactose is consumed, it can cause bloating and diarrhea, and nutrients are not easily absorbed. Human milk has a high proportion of lactose, low fat and protein, which cannot meet the high protein, low lactose nutritional needs of small monsters, and the lactose that cannot be broken down accumulates in the intestines, which also easily causes gastrointestinal allergies!
